Wedding is that ceremony where two people unite in a marriage. It is that function which is celebrated as a festival in every country. Popular wedding portals Shaadi.com and BharatMatrimony started way back in 1997, when there were not much internet users. Now the users of internet are increasing per hour, to expand wedding startups business currently, is beneficial for the business economy. Here we are with a list of wedding startups that are founded currently and are doing their best in the e-commerce business.

1) WedMeGood

WedMeGood is a first wedding online portal that has launched its app too. This startups is a Gurgaon based, founded by husband and wife, Anand Shahani and Mehak Shahani who accommodates the couple for their wedding, right from the idea of planning till the stage. The startup provides photographers, makeup artist, jewellery brands, designer wear and caterings as well with detailed information, pricing and reviews. The company app runs on iOS and android platforms, both.

2) Weddingplz

Weddingplz is a startup that gives every information of the wedding that a couple has to plan, organize and manage. Startup was started in January 2014, founded by Manish Wadhwa. The startup has been launched in 4 cities, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Ludhiana and Bangalore. The startup features besides planning, wedding checklist, budget, guest list, e-invites and wedding website where it allows user to create and share his own personal website. Not only vendor, they have their own wedding blogs, events, wedding websites, and help the family and friends to make that day special one for the couple. It is planning to expand their business in 12 cities at the end of this year.

3) PlanningWale

This startup was founded by Latika Malhotra, Kanishk Pandey and Sameer in April 2015. It is a wedding website with over 6000 matrimonial vendors’ jewelers, venues, caterers, bakers, photographers, makeup artists, florist, choreographers, car rentals, invitation cards, decorations, fitness, designers, mehendiwalas wedding planners and so on. Users can easily search on this website, vendors from different categories and can call via app. They can rate, review and can bookmark this website for the future too. The website has its app too.

4) Indear.in

Founded by Sanna Vohra in November last year, because when sanna’s friend was providing her information regarding wedding during her sister marriage, she had to go through lot of websites, this what gave her idea to start her own venture in this zone. This is a Mumbai based startup that allows user to search for anything from destination wedding to “gotta patti” (a type of Indian embroidery originate in Rajasthan) lehenga. This website collects content from the brands and allows users to contact the source directly.

5) Marrily

Started by the 3 IIT Kanpur students Sourabh Varma, Ajay Pandey, and Harsh Vardhan. This app is a matchmaking app that believes in connecting before committing. This app allows registration through Facebook and asks for selfie, for the verification to confirm only real people can sign up. It uses an algorithm to suggest matches and learns preference with time. The app has a great popularity among apps. About 20% of the users visit this site every day. Its best part is, it is free for first 20000 users.

6) Marryinaweek

Started in January 2013, Marryinaweek has its 12000 users with 250 users growing each day. Marryinaweek is founded by Bhrahman Rattan and Suraj Dubey. It is the matrimonial site that presents every profile registered in this site, in a weekly rotation. It makes the profile visible to the people for a particular time to generate interest among others. That particular time stays till 7 days and the profile can be accepted and denied before the expiry period of the profile. The startup is planning to expand their business in top 10 metro cities for which they even raise their funds. In 2015 they launched their app too for android users.

7) Shaadimagic.com

It is a complete wedding planner portal that provides you with every basic needs of wedding. From vendor selections to costume of bride and groom in a reasonable budget for every person. This portal provides latest trends in bridal wear, makeup, jewellery collections, decorations and even honeymoon destination for couple. The founder of this portal Manish Grover explains that planning wedding is not an easy task and it requires lot of creativity, options, this portal ensures us of all this. This portal not only plans but also guides how to organize a perfect wedding.

8) Shaadisaga

Shaadisaga is founded by Himanshu Kapsime and Manish Garg. It is the one stop wedding planning solution, where people can not only celebrate but can also share and can plan their wedding journey. With their website and e-invites, people can share their beautiful wedding journey with their friends and loved ones. Not only this, it ensures people with great ideas, updates on new trends, cool tips to make your day more special, unique and memorable. So what you all have to do is sit relax, rest of the planning will be done by Shaadisaga.

9) Wanted Umbrella (Now Inclov)

A very unique matchmaking startup founded by Kalyani khona, from Mumbai. This startup is different from others, as this organization allows matchmaking for differently abled people. This organization redefines the lives of differently abled by providing them to interact with the people of same interest. This startup plans like going out to eat, a holiday, movies, conversations and many efforts. It is a very different startup from the other wedding portals but ensures the same interest.

10) WeddingZ.in

Launched in January, 2015, this wedding industry provides different vendors at good price. This startup allows partners to find and book the services at affordable price. Previously it was offering service only in Mumbai but now it expanded to 10 cities including Delhi, Bangalore and others. With 2000 wedding venues and 2000 vendors this portal promises to be a largest warehouse of wedding service provider. The company also said to be organize 200 weddings every month. This portal is competing very strongly with others wedding portal like Shaadisaga, WedMeGood and many more.
