Auxilo Finserve, the education-focused NBFC, announced on Tuesday that it is raising Rs 279 crore in a fresh round of equity funding to expand its student lending portfolio. The round includes significant investment from private equity firm LeapFrog Investments.
LeapFrog Investments, through its investment vehicle Jade Inclusion, is contributing USD 30 million. Existing investors Trifecta Leaders Fund-I and Xponentia Opportunities Fund-II are also participating in this round.
"LeapFrog's commitment to social impact aligns perfectly with our vision of empowering individuals through education. This investment, along with continued support from our existing investors, will enhance our ability to support students in achieving their academic dreams," said Auxilo MD and CEO Neeraj Saxena.
The new capital will be used to expand customer reach, enhance student funding, integrate technological infrastructure across business processes, and strengthen the company's institutional lending segment. Auxilo has signed definitive agreements with the investors, and the transaction is expected to close soon.
