Sidharth Shakdher, the former chief business officer (CBO) at Ola Mobility, has taken on the role of business head at Paytm, where he will work closely with founder and chief executive officer Vijay Shekhar Sharma to drive the company’s growth while prioritising profitability.
Shakdher’s departure from Ola comes after a nine-month tenure marked by significant achievements, including steering the core mobility business to profitability, starting a consumer loans division, and introducing the open network for digital commerce (ONDC) food delivery service.
He also developed the Ola Loyalty program, Ola Coin, and oversaw various aspects of growth, revenue, and marketing across domestic and international markets.
Prior to his role at Ola, Shakdher was the executive vice president and chief marketing officer at Disney+ Hotstar, contributing to the platform's marketing strategies and international expansion as part of the founding leadership team. His experience also includes overseeing marketing and growth for Amazon’s US third-party marketplace and serving as category marketing head at Reckitt Benckiser, where he played a pivotal role in establishing Dettol in the US personal care market.
