How Leaders Initiate Towards Success

Simon Sinek, a speaker, consultant and a writer who writes about management and leadership, speaks about how some people achieve their dreams while others cannot, in TED talk. He explained, leaders do not born with any extra quality but just with different set of mind. He reports how leaders mind work, by a biologically based “golden circle”. He even mentioned numerous examples like Wright brothers, apple computer and Martin Luther king.

He raised many questions like, why some people achieve things that seems next to impossible? How companies like apple, year after year bang on with the new creations? Why Martin Luther king was the only one who came up with the idea of starting civil rights movement? How wright brothers without any funds and qualified team were the first one to discover controlled and powered man flight. He added that few years ago during his research he found a design which somewhere denotes the leaders way of thinking. They all think in this way that is totally opposite to the others. Simon Sinek named that design “golden circle”. A circle, with “how” in center and surrounded by “why” and “what”. We all know what we do? And some knows how we do? But there are very rare, who know why we do?

All the motivated organizations and all the people think from inside out that is, why we do? How we do? And what we do? Simon Sinek believes people don’t buy what you do but they buy why you do it. He connected this pattern to biology and not to psychology. If we will take a look to the brain section from top to down, it is just similar to the golden circle and that is why it is a biologically based theory.
