Parentlane App - Indian Social Platform on Baby Care & Child Development, Raises Angel Funding

Parentlane, a technology company focused on child development has raised an undisclosed amount in an angel round of funding. Parentlane is incubated by Accel Partners Start-Up Pad and the round of funding has been led by Sujeet Kumar (Former President - Flipkart), Aprameya (Founder, Taxiforsure), Sumit Jain (Co-Founder & CEO, Commonfloor.com), Subramanya Venkat (Ex-Managing Partner, Bessemer Venture Partners & Co-Founder-Fisdom.com), Venk (Managing Partner - NuVentures), Ravi Machani (IndiVillage LLP), Hitesh Gupta (Founder – Vcbytes), Rohit Choudhary (Hortonworks) and others.

Parentlane will use this round of funding primarily on product development and mobile technology to enhance value delivery, user experience and engagement rate on the platform. The funding will also be used to do selective and targeted marketing to build it’s community base & content. The company has been founded by Vijay Anand and Neeraj Kumar Gupta. It is social platform to guide parents with personalized & trusted advice on the overall development of their child from the time the child is born till 8 years which are considered to be the most critical lifecycle stage for any human being.

Fashion eCommerce Solution Firm Online Distribution Network Raises Angel Round of Funding

Gurgaon-based fashion eCommerce solutions provider, Online Distribution Network (ODN) has raised an undisclosed amount of angel funding, for expansion, marketing, building technology and to open multiple storage centres & photo studios across the country. The investors names are still undisclosed by the company. ODN was started by Mahajan and Kumar Udaar in November 2015, it provides two key offerings, including photoshoot studio services and marketplace management services. It allows the fashion brand to focus on its mainstream products and branding.

Online Fashion Rental Platform Blinge Gets Funding Led By People Group’s CEO Anupam Mittal

Mumbai-based Panoptic Solutions Pvt. Ltd. backed online fashion rental platform, Blinge has raised its first round of funding led by Anupam Mittal, founder and CEO of People Group.

The funding round also saw participation from Livspace Co-founder and CEO Anuj Srivastava and Ankit Nagori, who quit Flipkart as chief business officer in February.

Founded by IITians Shashwat Gopal, Pooja Dubey and Shikhar Khanna in September 2015, Blinge is a rental platform that provides designer wear, branded outfits and accessories on rent. The startup follows a marketplace model and has a community of over 20 designers on its platform. It claims to be catering to over 1,000 customers.

Home Care and Wellness Services Provider MyCareLine Raises Rs 3.5 Cr

New Delhi-based Indicare Health Services Pvt. Ltd, which runs home care and wellness services provider, MyCareLine, has raised close to Rs 3.5 crore. The round was led by two female high-net-worth individuals (HNIs) based out of Singapore and India. One of them, a startup specialist, has invested more than $500,000 in the firm for a minority stake. The company is also looking at raising around Rs 30-35 crore in the next round.

Founded by Anuradha Khairnar in November 2014, MyCareLine develops technology-enabled solutions to deliver affordable patient care. Its Staff include experienced Nurses, Physiotherapists, Bedside Assistants, Dieticians, Clinical Psychologists, Maternity & Babycare professionals spread across 12 cities in India.

In future, the startup plans to set up six centres, of which one will be owned by the firm while the remaining will be operated by franchisees. It aims to scale this up to 35 centres by the third year and to 130 centres by the fifth year.

Online Home Decor and Interior Design Platform GharCentre is in Talks to Raise $1M

Delhi-based Avant Solutions Pvt. Ltd. backed online home decor and interior design platform GharCentre, is in talks to raise close to $1 million in a Series A round of funding from Kalaari Capital. The company is planning to expand geographically.

The raised funding will be used for product development and team building.
The startup is currently operating in Delhi. It also plans to use the funds to expand to six more cities—Bombay, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai and Gujarat.

Food Ordering App SmartQ Raises $250K in Angel Funding from YourNest

Bangalore-based food ordering app SmartQ which is backed by Bottle Lab Technologies Pvt. Ltd., has raised $250,000 in funding from YourNest Angel Fund. SmartQ was founded by Krishna Wage and Abhishek Ashok in December 2014, allows users to avoid long queues at food courts in corporate parks and multiplexes. The app asks users to sign up when they log-in for the first time on the app after which the app automatically detects the location of the user. Once the user selects a particular food outlet, the app allows users to choose between dine-in and take away.

The startup offers its services in various locations in Bangalore including Manyata Business Park, Indegene Cafeteria and ITPL Bangalore among others.

SchoolWear Raises Funding from Mumbai-based publishing firm Navneet Education Ltd

SchoolWear.in, an online marketplace to sell school uniforms and supplies, has raised funding from Promoters of Mumbai-based publishing firm Navneet Education Ltd.

Founded in 2014 by Ketan Zaveri and Amit Zaveri, SchoolWear.in works in a B2B2C model where it ties up with schools for uniforms and then promote online purchase through the platform. It runs an online platform to provide school stationery, school accessories, reference books and more, for more than 40 schools in Mumbai.

With this funding, the startup plans to launch a whole range of school supplies which include school uniforms & accessories, and allied products, besides facilitating school fee payments across 500 schools in 15 cities by end of 2016 including Ahmedabad, Baroda and Surat.
