IntrCity, parent of SmartBus and RailYatri services, raised Rs 37 crore (approximately USD 4.5 million) in its ongoing Series C funding round. Mirabilis Investment Trust led this latest investment, with contributions from existing investors including Nandan Nilekani’s family trust, Omidyar Network India, and Ujamaa Ventures based in the US.
The newly acquired funds will be allocated towards enhancing product offerings, expanding user acquisition efforts, and further strengthening its services along key routes to cater to its growing customer base.
Based on data from startup intelligence platform TheKredible, IntrCity's valuation has surged to approximately Rs 912 crore or USD 110 million following this latest tranche of investment. With this infusion, IntrCity has now raised over USD 50 million in total funding.
Operating across more than 630 routes spanning 16 states, IntrCity SmartBus covers popular destinations such as Delhi–Lucknow, Delhi–Kanpur, Mumbai–Pune, Bengaluru–Hyderabad, and Chennai–Coimbatore.
Co-founded by Kapil Raizada, Manish Rathi, and Sachin Saxena, IntrCity generates over 90% of its revenue from roadway operations, with the remainder derived from commissioning and advertising publicity initiatives.
