Swiggy Design Executive Shares Unique Job Application Via Physical Letter

In a follow-up post on LinkedIn, Prakash recounted how he received a call from Swiggy's front desk about the letter, noting that he had not provided his office address for correspondence

Saptarshi Prakash, Assistant Vice President, Design, at Swiggy, recently received an unconventional job application that caught his attention—a physical letter from a designer seeking a role at the company.

Prakash took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his admiration for the unique approach, posting images of the letter. “Received a physical letter from a designer wanting to join @Swiggy with a concept. In a digital age, this old-school method stood out,” he wrote.

In a follow-up post on LinkedIn, Prakash recounted how he received a call from Swiggy's front desk about the letter, noting that he had not provided his office address for correspondence. On a work-from-office day, he picked it up in person.

“This isn’t the first time someone has approached me for a job, but it’s the first time through a physical letter sent via India Post!” Prakash shared. He noted the rarity of such an approach in an era dominated by emails and direct messages.

Initially, he felt the letter was somewhat unconventional and even raised privacy concerns. However, he soon recognized its impact. “At first, I thought it was a bit odd, but it genuinely caught my attention—enough that I’m sharing it here on LinkedIn. Sometimes, stepping away from the usual can really make an impact,” he concluded.
