One-fourth of the second fund will come from community leaders and the remaining will come from institutional investors

Z21 Ventures, an early-stage investment firm, has fully deployed its first USD 5 million fund and plans to launch a second fund of USD 40 million. The firm is backed by Indian-origin technology executives in the US and is focused on startups in the enterprise software and hardware spaces.

It was established in 2022 by Abhinav Shashank and Raj Shekhar Singh. The goal is to invest in small amounts in startups and provide them with the opportunity to work with experienced professionals in these areas. The firm has already backed 27 startups and aims to continue investing in more through the second fund.

With the new fund, Z21 Ventures will also be looking to increase the investment size to USD 0.5-1 million. One-fourth of the second fund will come from community leaders and the remaining will come from institutional investors.
