InTandem Advisors: Aims at Expanding Businesses in Metro Cities & Signing Variety of Partners in Money Transfer Space

It’s been 90 days since Mr. Kapur started InTandem Advisors. Since then, the company has signed up 7 partners, Bharti AXA, Paymart, Fino, Impact RetailTech, Policy and Playmart.in. InTandem Advisors helps the above companies in building their domestic and international remittance business, helping them with strategic tie ups with channel partners, helping these companies offer their financial services products through retail branches and third party outlets and finally helping many of these companies around business strategy.

InTandem Advisors is created with a vision to bring together financial services companies and channel distribution partners to enable start ups in the financial services space with a business strategy and sales and distribution blueprint. The firm has access to over 50,000 locations through its channel partners which offers InTandem the muscle to drive customer acquisition and business volumes through setting up of business targets, incentive plans, scheduling periodic reviews, building a GTM plan and driving field visits.

Mr. Anil Kapur (Founder & CEO) is widely known in India and South Asia banking and money transfer space for spearheading the revolutionary shift in the remittance sector. His focused efforts in creating a sustainable business and building a vast, diversified and penetrative agent network helped Western Union emerge as the No. 1 remittance company in India. Under his leadership, InTandem has successfully kick-started PAN India operations within a span of just one month. He has also recently facilitated a landmark association deal for their client Bharti AXA, wherein Bharti can sell their insurance polices OTC through Paul Merchant Ltd's network across India.

How was it started?
The company was started by Mr. Anil Kapur. The company was self funded. InTandem currently has a team of 3/4 people and will add resources as they expand their client base and business partners.

Unique services and how is it different from the existing start ups in the sector?
We are unique in that we partner with our clients and help them with both strategy and execution. We take ownership and responsibility to identify strategic channel partners, help execute the tie-up, set up targets, monitor performance, and drive performance.

What is your current Monetization Model?
At this point, we are fully focused on building a client base and adding business partners, whilst we continue to execute on the tasks and goals that we have set out to achieve for our existing business partners and clients. Monetization is something we will only consider once we scale up.

What are your recent traction details?

Many of our goals and objectives with our clients are confidential in nature. However, the fact that we have signed up several clients over a 90 day period should be an indicator of the positive response we have received to our start up.

We have recently felicitated an association between Bharti AXA and Paul Merchants Ltd. As a part of the deal, Bharti AXA’s life insurance products will be available over the counter across branches of Paul Merchants Ltd. In a two-phase rollout, the products will be first made available across 300 plus branches of PAUL MERCHANTS and gradually extended to over 22000 PAUL MERCHANTS distribution network across the country and have also facilitated an association between Bharti AXA and Paymart Ltd recently.

We believe our future success will be driven by the value and success we will generate for our existing business partners and clients. Word of mouth will be our biggest source of bringing in new business partners and clients. We see a large number of international and global online remittance companies that are keen to expand in India/South Asia and will look to partner with some of them in the future.
