New Delhi-based India Sports Flashes Pvt. Ltd, which operates sports content app Sports Flashes has raised $ 1 million in a pre-series A round of funding from SRI Capital to expand its operations. Earlier, Times Group, Indian media house had also invested into Sports Flashes in August 2017 which was their second investment in sports content platform after they acquired Cricbuzz.
In April 2017, wrestler Sushil Kumar, and Global Edusports Ventures’ Sandeep Singh invested in Sports Flashes. Before a month of that, it had secured angel funding from a clutch of investors including SEI India’s Vineet Shrivastava, Advitya Dewan, Bajaj Motors’ Vikas Bajaj, MyBox’s Amit Kharbanda.
With more than 5 million users, Sports Flashes is leveraging the power of digital technology to disrupt the way sports content is consumed in India. It recently launched the 1st 24x7 Sports Radio Channel in India.
Sports Flashes dishes out a staple diet of live Sports TV and Radio, live scores, streaming videos, news and views, highlights, statistics, live updates, commentary and opinion (often synced to live matches) and more in a single window. Presently it is offering the feed in 7 different languages. Its app is available for both Android and iOS based devices.

Founded in August 2016 by Raman Raheja, Sports Flashes claims to have more than five million subscribers. It competes with the likes of digital sports content providers like Sportskeeda, Khel Now, Sports Asia and Floodlightz.
This year, SRI Capital has backed two startups including LetsMD, a fin-tech startup in the healthcare space, and personal financial advisory portal IndianMoney.com.
