Tell us about your entrepreneurial journey
Aurelius was established in 2009. We started as a BPO/KPO then transitioned into a Knowledge Solutions Integrator. So far we offer more than 5000 programmes across domains and the business is expanding steadily.
How is Aurelius doing in the market? The company has more than 300 corporate customers today. Out of that approximately 150 are Fortune 500 companies. We also offer programs in B2C and B2I domains which make our offering wholesome and complete in all manners.
Our offering is global in nature and can be delivered anywhere using various cloud based technologies and is totally cashless and digital.
How are you planning to tap the market in the next 2 to 3 years?
We are growing and want to win more customers. We keep in tune with the increase in the number of new technologies and domains to stay abreast of the industry demands. Now our focus is also on B2C segments and B2I. We are relatively new in these segments, but as this market has immense potential and is hitherto untapped, we are striving hard to capture a good number of customers in it.
Our focus is more on internal markets which will offer us a great opportunity especially from B2C clients. The expansion is seamless as we operate in a $350 billion market growing at a global CAGR of 7 percent. Notably, today we get traffic from around 100 countries across the world. Shorter technology life cycles and convergence of technology creates phenomenal opportunities for us and will continue to remain the same.
What are your India specific market share and revenues? In the Indian technology business market, we are definitely in the top three as far as product and strength are concerned. Our revenue has been around 500,000 dollars for the last two years.
Who are your competitors? How will Aurelius standout in the market?NIIT,
GP Strategies,
Lynda and
Skillsoft are our competitors. But we stand out as ours is an integrated platform. The idea is to address a specific learning need through our solutions. We are not into typical vanilla programs in a typical off line mode. We focus on best and innovative use of technology to help businesses increase those margin dollars.
What are the key challenges faced by the sector?Technology in every business and technology life cycles are getting shorter and no business can scale up without technology use in it. Adaptation to technology is mandatory and not an option; being in tune with the pace of technology adaptation is the key to success for any business today. Industries need a knowledge solutions integrator who can provide knowledge based solutions to their respective business needs. And our solutions ensure requisite knowledge transfer, not typical certifications.
What are your views on the government's policies for the sector? So far, so good. GST will certainly help. Aurelius is digital and cashless in nature. We will appreciate it if a similar kind of initiative could be pushed for the service sector under the Make in India mission of our government.
Any key changes you would wish to see in the regulatory framework?
Have or make an incentive scheme for foreign companies to buy from India, strengthen the sector with more of PE in flow as we can work various incentives around the same.
Are you prepared to comply with GST? Will GST impact Aurelius in its growth? Yes to both.
What are your future plans with regards to expansion in India and globally? We want to tap both domestic and international markets. India is less than 10 percent of global market in the segment’s we operate in. We will have our focus on B2C and B2I segments.
