Connaizen has raised investment from Vikram Sud (ex APAC O&T Head for Citigroup and ex group COO, Kotak Mahindra Group) at an undisclosed valuation. Vikram is the second Fintech stalwart who's backed Connaizen after Umang Moondra
who invested earlier this month. Prior to his investment in Connaizen, Vikram has been a mentor to the startup since May 2016 while Connaizen was a part of Startupbootcamp Fintech, Singapore cohort of 2016.
Connaizen's spend intelligence platform is powering insights for major e-commerce and retail clients including the likes of Thomas Cook, Swiggy, Jet Airways and Starbucks. The startup aims at being a DIY strategic platform for marketers to understand How, When and Where are their customers likely to spend next. Connaizen’s ML powered algorithms provide a complete Spend-o-graphic, Demographic and Geographic understanding of a brands existing and prospective customers. Marketers can then reach out to the relevant customers through Connaizen’s partner financial institutions.
"I'm excited about the prospects that data & intelligence holds for financial services marketing in India. Since a customer's spending pattern captures transactions and not 'intent', Connaizen enables marketers to create wholesome strategies taking into account what their customers are doing outside of their stores." says Vikram who's bullish about his most recent bet.
“We’ve had the pleasure of being mentored by some of the finest in the Fintech industry and it’s very reassuring to see them back the idea and the team time and again. Vikram is a huge value add to the team given his expertise in the domain.” quoted Sanchit Kapoor, co-founder of Connaizen. Connaizen was founded in 2015 by Nikhil Garg (CEO), Vikas Bharti (CTO) and Sanchit Kapoor (Head – Product and Marketing).
