Oyo's Ritesh Aggarwal Joins As New Jury Chair In Shark Tank India

Ritesh Agarwal, Founder and CEO at OYO Rooms, is the latest entrant on the jury board of Shark Tank Reality Show. The announcement came by Ritesh on X as the show begins to be premiered on Sony Liv.

Upon this, Ritesh will be joining the ranks of Peyush Bansal of Lenskart, Anupam Mittal of People Group, Namita Thapar of Emcure and Vineeta Singh of Sugar Cosmetics in the upcoming season of Shark Tank India.


Ritesh Agarwal in post on X, stated, “ Shark Tank India made entrepreneurship a household conversation and I am excited to be a small part of Season 3 and support more entrepreneurs emerging out of every corner of India.”

The reality TV show hosted by Sony Entertainment Television is a platform in which entrepreneurs pitch funding ideas to the sharks. The show enables participants from all business sectors to showcase their product and idea behind the brand.

Agarwal is one of the key angel investors and also runs a venture firm, Arora Ventures. Going by the media reports, he wrote in an internal mail to the core team that startup will report a profit after a tax of Rs 16 crore in Quarter 4 in fiscal year (FY) 2024.

According to the company, the gross profit margin increased to 43 per cent of revenue and adjusted gross profit rose by 23 per cent to Rs 2,347 crore in FY 23 from Rs 1,915 crore in FY 22.
