SmartVizX VR solutions helps buyers buy better, sellers sell better & businesses conduct business better. The company was founded in February 2015 by Gautam Tewari and Tithi Tewari, both senior architects with a collective industry experience of over 30 years between themselves. Imagine two successful architects with a rather illustrious corporate career confounded by one simple question; How does one visualize a design in such a way that even a layperson can appreciate it accurately?
Gautam and Tithi Tewari who had just started their own architectural practice after hanging up their corporate shoes at Space Matrix (one of the largest architectural design firms of Asia) were finding it difficult to answer the need to visualize designs better. They wanted a completely immersive, interactive experience that would help potential customers understand design nuances, interiors, furnishings etc, without the need for the physical building/sample flat to be created first.
A chance meeting with gamers solved the puzzle for them. Games have always had an immersive experience where one finds himself/herself in the situation rather than having an overview. Thus the foundation for a marriage between Virtual Reality (VR) and architecture design was laid. Today with clients such as DASNAC, Developer Group, Rockworth, NIIT, The Quint, Interglobe Aviation, Express Avenue and Express Group etc, SmartVizX is a success. It recently got a stamp of approval from industry stalwarts when it picked up its angel funding of $530000 from Indian Angel Network (IAN) and Stanford Angels and Entrepreneurs (SA&E India).
SmartVizX is already present in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Dubai as well markets such as Singapore and USA. It has already been named by NASSCOM as ‘Startup of the week’ under its ‘10000 startups’ initiative.
According to Digi-Capital’s new ‘Augmented/Virtual Reality Report 2015’, Augmented/Virtual Reality is expected to reach a global valuation of $150 billion by 2020. These valuations are expected to be achieved through the development of both high quality hardware as well as content. A report by SuperData Research estimates that the VR Gaming market itself is worth $5.1 billion with a customer base of 55.8 million in 2016. These figures indicate a potential boom in the VR industry and a rising appetite for VRV based content.
