After completing a Cordon Bleu Grand Diplome in London, Anahita Dhondy returned to India, and collaborated with veteran restaurateur A.D. Singh to launch the first SodaBottleOpenerWala in New Delhi in 2013. Now Chef-Partner at the branch, Dhondy has seen the expansion of the chain, promoting her native Parsi cuisine. A passionate cook since the age of 10, Dhondy continues to be very active within the Indian culinary scene, and has won several awards, including the Young Chef India award and the Times Food Award.
“As a kid, I used to bother my mother with all my queries. Later on, I happily realized my growing attraction to this profession of being a chef, breaking free from the apprehensions of pursuing a career in a male-dominated industry’, says Dhondy. She has worked on an all-women cooking TV show aired on Living Foodz called “Femme Foodies”.
Chef Anahita N. Dhondy comes from a family of Parsis settled in Delhi. Anahita aims to be a youth icon and inspiration for aspiring female chefs in India and around the world. Although young, Anahita has received the "Young Chef" and Times Food Awards.
Much recently Dhondy has left Soda Bottle Opener Wala to start an exclusive curation of food and beverage services.
