Anil Chhikara Moves Out of Jaarvis Accelerator

Anil Chhikara, Principal, Jaarvis Accelerator, is moving out of his current role. It is still unclear what his next venture is. Recently, Saumyajit Guha, the chief operating officer (COO) of Calcutta Angels, has joined Gurgaon-based Jaarvis Accelerator as its co-principal.

When asked about his journey with Jaarvis Accelerator and future plans, Anil Chhikara told BW Disrupt, “I have great respect for Jaspal Sarai and Willy Lan, the founders of Jaarvis Accelerator. They setup Jaarvis Accelerator in Gurgaon in 2015 when there were not too many options available for startups. I have personally learnt so much from Jaspal. However I feel with the tsunami of coworking and easy access to startup community & resources for entrepreneurs, the whole model of accelerators needs a rethink. Also the time is right for Indian startups to not just have global ambitions but also scale up internationally. Besides this India is now ripe as probably the biggest potential market after China for global startups. I look forward to my next innings in helping startups achieve their potential and become global players through a unique Accelerator model.”

Anil Chhikara has been leading Jaarvis Accelerator since June 2016. Prior to this he was at Incubate Hub and Marco Polo Ventures. He specializes in creating and implementing Go-to-Market strategies, demand creation, international partnerships, setting up distribution networks, B2B market development, product management, acquiring marquee customers for new products, business operations, strategy and high-value solution selling.

Started by Hong Kong-based Jaarvis Labs Ltd in June 2015, Jaarvis Accelerator has accelerated 14 startups since its inception and plans to add up to 20 startups more this year. Companies like iManageMyHotel, EduRev, Spotwrks, Promon, R2 Robotronics, Sniffer have participated in the Jaarvis’ accelerator programme.
