Aromazeia: Connecting Nature with People

Bringing people closer to the benefits of nature is sole idea behind creation of Aromazeia, a health and wellness products company.” says its CEO, Co-founder Ms. Swapnil Pathak. She was born amid flowers and fragrance in India’s perfume capital, Kannauj.

Also, she did her schooling in the lap of Himalayas in Almora, Uttarakhand. Due to her upbringing she always felt a deep connection with nature. This transformed her love for nature and she established Aromazeia, with her father. Aromazeia is an initiative to unfurl ancient bank of knowledge preserved and savored through words of mouth since time immortal. It is a new visage in the field of health and beauty products brought to you straight from the heart of nature, using herbs in their most natural form with purity.

Swapnil belongs to a family who are involved in manufacturing business of essential oils, aromatherapy oils and attars for more than 100 years. This made her realize the miraculous healing powers of nature. Swapnil says that it was her connect with nature which got her from doing engineering in Pune to become an entrepreneur. Swapnil credits her inspiration to her father Akhilesh Pathak, who has an amazing knowledge in the field of creation of natural fragrances, flavours and perfumery.

She also mentions about her mother being an encyclopaedia of plants which helps her understand the business of herbs. Her three years of struggle, hard work patience was fruitful on the day when the first product was launched in July 2015, a pain relief oil. There is a story to behind Aromazeia’s pain relief oil. Swapnil’s father had met with an accident where his shoulder
got fractured. He consulted various doctors and tried various medicines but in vain.

As the family had been manufacturing essential oils, he created a medication in form of oil which was a blend of many oils and herbs. After its usage, it was found that there was a tremendous relief from the pain. When Swapnil came to know about this oil her father created, she decided to take it to masses. After getting amazing reviews from the people using it, Swapnil chose it to be the flag ship product of her company and decided to get into its mass production to make it accessible to people all over.

Starting from the product, Aromazeia Pain Relief Oil, the company has made various health and wellness products. The products include Herbal tea, jams and chutneys, essential oils, pain relieving oils, floral waters and their unique attars are all exported all over the world through e-commerce websites.

Their another successful product is the attar; it is obtained by hydro distillation process (traditional deg bhapka process). This method is said to be almost 5000 years old and there has been no change in the process since then. Reports suggests, they use the same process, which was used during the Indus Valley Civilization.

The USP of Aromazeia is the processing and packaging of these products. It is being done at the height of 6000ft in the Himalayas, to give it a pollution free environment.

Swapnil established the unit in Uttarakhand which in itself was a big challenge and to get drug license, availability of resources, supply and networking was really difficult. It took sometime but she made it possible as it is said where there is will there is a way.

Speaking about the future plans Swapnil says her main aim is to spread Mother Nature love and affection all across the globe as nature’s gift in the form of Aromazeia. To achieve this one needs, make available the natural products to the people in its purest form. Aromazeia’s next product is Himalayan black orthodox tea (organic). It will be a Whole Leaf Super Fine Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe.

If you talk about the hurdles faced by Swapnil it is going to be a long list. Since the day Aromazeia clicked in her head till making it available to the people, it had been a roller coaster ride for her. But if your path is easy, there is something you are missing for sure. There was also a time when she was admitted in hospital in a very critical situation but that also couldn’t stop her from working. There was a time when being patient was another big task, but there were not much choices for her.

Her dedication towards her work has now made her a young entrepreneur. Swapnil believes Most important is to have faith in themselves and to have faith in what you have dreamt of. To make it happen in real, first make it happen in your thoughts. Be sure if you could happily give it all your efforts and wouldn’t leave it in the middle. But if those efforts seem to be a burden to you, don’t start!

If you truly love something, you’ll never get tired of doing it. Plus, entrepreneurship needs a lot of patience. Don’t give up if you fail in your first attempt. Just keep walking. If your dedication & determination is strong enough, you will come out shining.
