DailyNinja Expands Its Service to Hyderabad, Plans to Set Up a Warehouse in Coming Months

DailyNinja, a hyperlocal platform for daily essentials, has started services in Hyderabad. The company that is the largest milk home delivery provider across India is already a household name across Bengaluru, where it is fulfilling more than 25,000 orders a day.

The one-of-its-kind enterprise has announced its plans to set up a warehouse in Hyderabad in the coming months. In Hyderabad, DailyNinja has tied up with 10 milk vendors, while in Bengaluru it has partnered with around 400 milk vendors. DailyNinja currently has 25 employees working in Hyderabad and plans to take the staff strength to 100 in coming months.

Commenting on the development, DailyNinja Co-founder Anurag Gupta said, "We are extremely excited about starting our services in Hyderabad. The city is a crucial market for us and we are sure that just like Bengaluru, our services will loved by the residents of Hyderabad as well. We look forward to expanding our reach in the city.”

With the app, residents of Hyderabad will be able to order their daily household essentials and get them delivered at their doorsteps by as early as 7 AM. As of now Hyderabad customers can order from 2 product categories = MIlk and Curd, while Bengaluru customers have more than 12 categories of products to choose from. The Dailyninja team is currently setting up warehousing facilities in the city and will be adding the complete catalogue for their Hyderabad customers over the coming few months.

Anurag Gupta, co-founder of DailyNinja said, "Our unique trojan horse approach of leveraging the daily milk buying habit of Indian customers to cross sell Groceries gives unparalleled convenience to our customers. The residents of Hyderabad can now order milk and curd with just two clicks. In our model, we partner with your local milk vendor and our Hyderabad team has received an excellent response so far from milk vendors across the city. We are looking at growing to 30000 orders a day in Hyderabad by the end of this year."

Dailyninja customers are encouraged to order fresh and order everyday. With no minimum order restrictions, Dailyninja seems to be a very helpful service for the busy working couple.

Notably, in Bengaluru, the subscription-based hyperlocal platform offers customers the choice to order products across 12 categories including vegetables, fruits, milk, bread, and beverages. The same facilities will be extended to the residents of Hyderabad in a period of few months.

Founded in June 2015 by BITS Pilani graduates Sagar and Anurag Gupta, DailyNinja is a subscription-based hyperlocal platform for managing and ordering daily needs such as bread, eggs, milk, etc. Using the app (available on both the Android and iOS platform), one can order groceries till 11 PM in the night and the order gets delivered by 7:00 AM at doorsteps, the next day. DailyNinja has completed a whopping 7.5 million orders till March-end this year. The prepaid-platform has been on an impressive growth trajectory, fulfilling 25,000 orders a day and over 750,000 orders every month.

India’s largest grocery startup BigBasket, which raised $300 million from Alibaba Group Holding Ltd earlier this year, is also in early talks to make an investment in grocery delivery startups - DailyNinja and Milkbasket.

BigBasket may make a minority or majority investment in one of the two startups, reported LiveMint. DailyNinja has raised roughly $2 million from Sequoia Capital and a bunch of angel investors.
