HRTech startup and Hyderabad’s first unicorn Darwinbox declared the promotion of its chief technology officer (CTO) Vineet Singh to the position of co-founder, on Friday, as per media reports.
The startup seems to Vineet’s elevation as a significant milestone in its journey, reflecting his contribution to the company’s success and product innovation, reported media. He played a significant role in making Darwinbox a modern-age HR tech platform that became the youngest and the only Asia-origin HCM product to be recognised in the Gartner magic quadrant globally cited media reports.
Darwinbox claimed that it has grown three times over the last two years and is now expanding into new markets such as the US and UK, as per media reports. It has more than 900 global enterprises and is backed by global investors such as Microsoft, Salesforce Ventures, Peak XV, Lightspeed, and Endiya Partners.
Hyderabad and Singapore-based Darwinbox achieved unicorn status in January 2022 after raising USD 72 million in a funding round led by Netflix-backer TCV, at a valuation of USD 1 billion. The firm helps organisations manage their HR needs, including hiring and onboarding, touchless attendance, and employee management.
