Zyod, founded in 2023, is setting new standards in fashion manufacturing by simplifying design, production, and delivery for fashion brands. Zyod offers customised solutions that cater to the specific needs of manufacturers in the fashion industry.
Zyod’s vision is clear ‒ to make business easier for fashion brands. The company aims to remove operational hurdles by streamlining the entire process, from design to delivery. By focusing on technology, Zyod allows brands to concentrate on creativity, while its team manages the logistical and production challenges.
Zyod’s mission is to allow creative freedom for fashion brands, while it caters for their manufacturing details ‒ be it sourcing sustainable materials or using modern fabrication techniques. Zyod helps brands focus on their strengths, free from production complexities. This end-to-end solution distinguishes Zyod from its competitors.
According to co-founder Ankit Jaipuria, Zyod’s success comes from combining technology with a deep understanding of the fashion industry. He believes that true success lies in creating value for the industry. "It’s not just about valuation; it's about how you impact the industry and change the ecosystem," he says. Jaipuria sees India’s cultural values, paired with modern business practices, as the key to building a lasting and successful business.
Jaipuria highlights three key trends shaping the future of fashion manufacturing. First is the "China Plus One" strategy, where global companies are diversifying their supply chains away from China. With rising costs and geopolitical uncertainty in China, India’s natural resources, like cotton, and its stable political environment make it an attractive alternative.
The second trend is the rise of near-shoring. As international fashion brands enter the Indian market, many are setting up production hubs in India to serve both local and global needs. Jaipuria points to SHEIN’s partnership with Reliance as an example of India’s growing role as a fashion manufacturing centre.
The third trend is India’s growing reputation not just for manufacturing but also for innovation. Jaipuria notes that many international luxury brands are opening stores in India, recognising its market potential. This shift is positioning India as a key player in both the production and retail sectors of the global fashion industry.
Since its launch, Zyod has seen impressive growth. In just 18 months, the company has expanded to 18 countries and achieved multimillion-pound revenues. Jaipuria attributes this to Zyod’s ability to blend technology-driven processes with a strong understanding of market needs. By offering solutions that cover every stage of manufacturing, Zyod helps its clients navigate the challenges of the fashion industry more easily.
Zyod’s long-term goal is to make India the preferred fashion manufacturing hub in the world. By introducing technology solutions that improve reliability and efficiency, the company aims to strengthen India’s role in the global apparel supply chain. Jaipuria is confident that Zyod will continue to grow and help shape the future of fashion manufacturing in India.
