According to media reports, San Francisco, London and Bengaluru-based startup Dashtoon is in discussions to secure a new round of funding worth USD 10-12 million from both new and existing investors. The company, founded in December 2022, specialises in using Generative AI to help storytellers create digital comics through its proprietary product, Dashtoon Studio.
The startup was founded by Sanidhya Narain, Lalith Gudipati and Soumyadeep Mukherjee. The startup aims aims to not only assist creators in making comics but also to help authors distribute and monetise their work.
It has previously raised USD 5 million in a seed round.
