BW Disrupt interacts with Car Rental Assist's team and spoke to themOn Competition in IndiaWe don’t think there is any competition in the market as such. We are aggregators catering to Indians going abroad mainly. If you take three components of any travel plan-- Flight, Hotel & Local travel, it’s the local travel which is always going to be costly. We can get cheaper flights and hotels, but if you have to pay for cabs in foreign currency, it costs too much. One can get self-driven car from our portal by paying fraction of the total cab cost. Apart from that having your own car in different country is a great fun and one can see many interesting places as well. Moreover, in most of the countries Indian license is valid on tourist visas. So hiring a self-driven car is not a problem. Moreover, many navigation options available on mobile itself, one doesn’t feel lost in another country. A visitors can decide the self-driven car according to his choice and budget.
USPWe charge in INR for any foreign booking which gives a comfort to a traveller. We give major service providers rates on our portal, which becomes easy for the customers to take an informed decision. We are amazingly cost effective compared to cabs, on which generally travellers depend upon, when they travel abroad.
FundingThe project currently is self-funded and it has started operation in February 2017. We have a robust digital marketing plan which we will roll out in April.
Market Size As per latest data around 14 million Indians travel to abroad. We have a target of getting 10000 bookings in one year. We will be pushing our concept through digital marketing, may do tie ups with airlines, mobile operators and other non-competitive businesses which cater to outbound customer’s needs.
