Delhivery Charts Out Two Planes To Help Import Oxygen Compressors

Logistics start-up Delhivery said that it will be flying in two planes from China to provide support for importing oxygen cylinders. In the wake of the acute shortage of oxygen concentrators and cylinders for patients suffering from COVID-19 this serves as a crucial help. 

The flight will take off on Wednesday and Friday, and the company is functioning at minimal margins for compressors and other covid essentials and have some spare capacity as things stand today. The second wave of COVID-19 has put the whole of India's healthcare system under immense pressure, with the number of daily coronavirus cases reaching 3.46 lakh. Over the past month, the outbreak in India has reached mammoth proportions, with reports of medicine scarcity, super spreader gatherings, and oxygen shortages. Earlier, Tata Group also announced that it was importing cryogenic containers to facilitate the transportation of oxygen.
