The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has forged a strategic partnership with boAt, a leading Indian brand in the audio and wearables market, to empower and support startups across India. This collaboration aims to foster innovation and offer comprehensive support to DPIIT-recognized startups, particularly those in the Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) and manufacturing sectors.
As part of this partnership, DPIIT and boAt will curate specialised programs designed to mentor startups, innovators, and entrepreneurs. These initiatives will provide resources, expert guidance, and hands-on support for various milestones, including prototype development. The collaboration will also offer valuable insights and connections to help startups scale internationally when feasible.
Sanjiv, Joint Secretary of Startup India, expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative, stating, “This endeavour will equip our startups with top-tier expertise and resources to elevate their efficiency, contributing to India’s vision of becoming a hub for world-class manufacturing and entrepreneurship.”
This alliance marks a significant step toward enhancing India’s startup ecosystem, driving innovation, and building globally competitive brands in the manufacturing and consumer tech sectors.
Aman Gupta, Co-founder of boAt, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the alignment with the ‘Make in India’ initiative. “This partnership reflects our commitment to nurturing a thriving ecosystem for product startups, innovators, and entrepreneurs,” Gupta said.
