ElectronicSewa Provides Reliable and Speedy Cell Phone Repairs & Protection At the Customers’ Doorstep

Founded in August 2015 by Deepak Ranjan and Manu Sharma, ElectronicSewa is a mobile solution start up where it do Mobile Repair, Mobile Protection, Mobile Refurbishment and Mobile AMC. Currently the startup is working on two categories - Mobile Repair and Mobile Protection. Rest will be activated in near future.

In Mobile Repair – it is providing free pick and drop facility to the customers along with backup phone. Its every mobile repair comes with 3 months warranty. On daily basis the startup take around 150 calls regarding mobile repair.

In Mobile Protection – Currently ElectronicSewa is present in 40 plus retail outlets across Delhi NCR where the company is selling its product for all new mobile. Very soon its product will be available on all other eCommerce platforms too. The startup has not tapped B2B market yet hence which it will be initiating in the second phase.

Genesis

There were times when we were struggling to even get our phone repaired due to lack of time which at times led to losing our cool and had adverse impact on work too. In Today’s world we hardly get time to get our phone fix and it would be worst nightmare if your new phone gets damaged by any means. Specially for working people nowadays. I(Manu) would like to share one incident which made me to take serious step towards mobile repair as business. I was struggling to go to service center due to work. Once I reached to the service center it was expensive and local repairers were giving different quotes for the same screen since it was a new phone I didn’t want to give in the hands of untrained technician. Finally I went to service center and submit my phone to get my satisfaction. In 7 days they have returned my phone Just to satisfy myself I suffer a lot to get my mobile fixed and that’s the story of each every customer today. After much angst and unmatched timings of the service centers and that was the time when I decided to take conscious step towards electronicsewa.com.

Deepak had also gone through one of the major issue which made him to begin his own venture. One day Deepak was very happy as he had bought a new phone which was lil expensive also but happiness didn’t persist much. His phone got stolen just after 10 days from the date of purchase and after filling FIR and everything he didn’t receive any result. He was upset as he lost his hard earned new phone. Finally he bought a new phone and he couldn’t have any courage to buy that phone again and he bought simple phone just to do daily routine tasks. We have developed a platform where we are resolving all Mobile related issues. We all know mobile repair market is disorganized and it’s a tedious process for an individual to get his mobile repair. We have developed a service product which is more advanced and structured as compare to current market. We have also launched Smart Secure Plan for Mobile Protection which covers accidental damage, water damage and theft broadly apart from protection we are also providing Extended Warranty without any extra cost which sets us apart in mobile protection category from competitors.

Differentiation Factors

In Mobile Repair Category we are providing back up phones and lifetime warranty on parts. In Mobile Protection Category we are providing EXTENDED WARRANTY and cashless repairs which set us apart from competitor in both the categories respectively.

Funding Status

We haven’t raised funds yet and we may go for funding after 4-6 months down the line.

Monetization

We are making revenues by repairing mobile phones and by selling insurance on offline and online both. We have been observing growth in both the categories.

Challenges Faced

Finding the right manpower for the business was not easy as this kind of skill set is not readily available in the market as the employees needs to be trained on Mobile Phone know how. Each and every small aspect of damage and technical fault for mobile repair has to be kept in mind while speaking to the customer. Since it was a new process we couldn’t take any case study and created process from customer feedback on each and every step because customer satisfaction is our ultimate key to success.

Traction Numbers

We have started with 30 phones repair in a month and in a span of 4 months we have reached at 350 repairs in a month. In Mobile Protection, we have started with 15 mobile in a month and now we have reached at 70-80 mobiles in a month and covering more retail outlets every month. As of now we are not available on APP, we are working on it and we will launch android app very soon.
