Empowering Women and MSMEs Through Innovation and Strategy

STEP UP 360 in association with BRICS International Forum supported by MSME – DI, New Delhi organised International Conclave and Indian Women Excellence and Leadership Awards in the capital recently. The objective of the conclave was to connect the BRICS Nation MSMEs for sharing and caring innovations, technologies, mutual business opportunities and explore the emerging market in BRICS countries.

Creating a strong platform for key decision makers, there were many important dignitaries and speakers who addressed on various topics connected with building partnerships in BRICS countries. The chief guest for the first session was Shri Haribhai Parthibhai Chaudhary, Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME). The Conclave witnessed speakers like Angela De Giacomo, Mrs Universe Rashmi Sachdev, Sanjana Jon, Astrologer Jai Madan, Shabnam Singh of You We Can, Prof. Swapan Bhattacharya, Dr. Tushar Kant Chatterjee, Jyotsna Sitling, Dr. R.K Panigrahi, Anurag Batra and many more.

The event witnessed the launch of India’s first IP Enabled Incubator cum Accelerator for Women – StepUp 360 which has the vision of creating its own kind of startup ecosystem, where entrepreneurial qualities of women can be nurtured and enhanced.

Vijay Goel, Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, was the guest of honour for the second session stressed on the fact that how women play a very important role in the development of the society. “Startup India, Stand Up India and Skill India are a few important movements run by the government to support women entrepreneurs. It is important to encourage female talent in every field and we must focus on those who aspire to be an ‘Entrepreneur’ and bring out the real level of productivity and potential,” he said.

The event was jointly organised by Chatur Ideas, BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry, powered by SIDBI and Powergrid with Media Partner BusinessWorld and IP partner Ennoble IP.
