The Addams House – The Idea
A Gastronomical kitchen and brewery, which has been fully operational for almost two months now, was incepted in the year 2015. The founding members – Mr.Bhanu Pratap Chahal, Mr. Karan Parvesh Singh and Mr. Sandeep Nehra, had a chance meeting which turned into a business idea as all three had some experience of operations in the hospitality and service industry though not in the food and drinks arena, but our keenness to bring a quality restaurant with a difference in ambience and the way food is served, to gurgaon, made them zero in on the Addams House, inspired by The Addams Family series which had a popular run on TV in the 90’s.
It was an uphill task to explain what they had imagined to the architects and people who were to finish the interiors. Add to this the technicalities related to complete official paperwork. The trio came up trumps after a couple of months of hectic activity and The Addams House was ready for trial runs in June, 2016. The first to experience and review the food and their freshly brewed beer were food critics, bloggers and a few industry insiders who all had rave reviews for the innovative menu which had been curated by their in house team of experts.
Current Funding Status & Future Plans: With the first round of funding, the team has already started working on three more concepts and further funding will be introduced as on when needed basis. Considering the demand in Indian F&B sector, founders of The Addams house are planning to come up with 3 more theme based restaurants by the end of current financial year. All the upcoming projects will be based on different concepts and will be designed as per the market requirements.
Marketing Plans: Mr. Karan Parvesh Singh, who comes from the digital marketing background says “designing a good product and marketing it well are two crucial factors for any organization. Both play a vital role in success of the product and one need to design out a comprehensive marketing strategy.” The Addams house marketing strategy is a perfect blend of modern (online) and traditional (OOH) marketing, with more emphasis on digital marketing techniques such as SMO our team is reaching out to right user group on right time.
Market size and opportunity: Due to favorable economic and cultural transformation and a shift in attitude and lifestyle have made consumers experimenting with different cuisines tastes and new brands. In 2016, revenues of restaurant and mobile food services in India projected to be approximately 10.95 billion U.S. dollars.(data collated by - Statista), recent data trends have shown that every Indian is expected to eat outside once in three months. With the increase in number of working nuclear families, the F&B sector in India has a huge demand to cater to. The recent trend has also shown the inclination towards the healthy eating habits of consumers so casual restaurants have come forward with unique solutions to fill up this void. The market trends provide huge opportunities to casual pubs and restaurants which can deliver the healthy food with out of the box experience.
