JustMyRoots is a one-of-a-kind, Inter-city and Intra-city food delivery company that has a vision of connecting people back to their roots through food. We aim to bridge the above-experienced gap by delivering food from all the favourite brands that people have grown up with along with other iconic food brands from over 30 cities all over the country.
The success of our business lies in the adoption of cutting-edge technologies for our specialized cold chain logistics that keep the food utterly fresh till the doorstep delivery. We are currently working with over 600 top brands and have a premium portfolio of 6,000+ products that we deliver in 30,000+ pin codes across Metros, Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities in India.
How has the people's response been so far? What are the traction details (like users, reach & other achievements of the company)?
In a short span of 3 years, we have become a preferred brand by our consumers. With a strong network of talented workers and a growing customer base, we have expanded to over 30 cities where we are delivering unique and authentic cooked meals as per the taste of the region. So far we have served around 2.5 lakh customers across India.
How do you look at expansion?
In India we already have some 670 restaurant partners on board but the goal is to add 5k more by the end of FY22-23. Also our long term vision for expansion would be spreading across the globe with more touchpoints through restaurant partners and consumers.
What is the funding status? what is the monetisation model JustMyRoots follows?
While currently, we have CEO’s and HNI’s of large companies as investors, we are expecting to have multiple rounds of funding in the coming months. At JustMyRoots, we are heavily investing in cutting-edge technologies and building a strong social marketing and customer acquisition network. We are also working to develop patented unique packaging for our products.
We work on a model where the Discount from the Vendor partners are passed over to the Customers. However the Customer bears the logistics cost of each product. We have tried our best to keep the cost to its lowest with very high optimisation. Customers pay to get their favourite food from different cities.
What challenges are you facing in running your business?
There are numerous challenges in running our model , Some of the key ones are
- Cold Chain Network: The current cold chain infrastructure in the country does not support our type of business , hence we had to look into a Hybrid model
- Mindset of Customers: Most of the customers were of the On Demand Mindset and buying something locally. Thanks to Justmyroots, they now have an understanding of the Intercity Food.

How are you different from the existing competitors?
Existing competitors available in this space are only operating on an intra-city food delivery model that works only in closed proximities. Whereas, at Justmyroots we have a unique business model that is a combination of Inter-city and Intra-city food delivery. Unlike any other brand, our unique packaging keeps perishable cooked and raw food fresh for 36 hours. We are also amongst the few food delivering companies that has a seamless network across B2B and B2C segment, where we bring the consumer and the seller on the same platform effortlessly.
What are the key business solutions that are expected to drive your growth?
At present, we are India’s only food delivery brand to commence interstate delivery of perishable food items, within 13 hours. Over the past few years, we have delivered numerous food memories and nostalgia from across the country within 24 hours. By partnering with more than 650 restaurants across the country, we are entirely operating on the ecommerce platform. We have tried to engage with our audience by providing seamless delivery and after-sale services. Additionally, we have partnered with various brands and influencers in the past to amplify our solutions and have a few collaborations lined up for the upcoming months which will further drive our growth to the new heights.
Currently we are partnering with Celebrity Chefs ( like Master Chef Winners) to reach their fan following across the country.
What kind of innovation do you support, any examples?
As of now, we are operating on an e-commerce platform. For us, innovation is the key to expand and grow further and we are investing heavily in new technologies to ensure the same. We have introduced technology even in our packaging that maintains the temperature and the moisture content thereby helping our perishable food items to remain fresh for more than 72 hours in all temperatures.
