This acquisition is in line with Nazara’s goal of diversifying and expanding its offerings beyond digital gaming.

“These initiatives align with our vision of creating a diversified global gaming and entertainment platform,” said Nitish Mittersain, CEO of Nazara Technologies.

Nazara continues to solidify its position in India's esports sector, with recent acquisitions including NODWIN Gaming's USD 2.8 million purchase of Trinity Gaming. Other investments include Rs 982 crore in PokerBaazi’s parent company, Moonshine Technology, and stakes in several esports companies like Stan, Fusebox Games, Paper Boat Apps (developer of Kiddopia), Ultimate Teen Patti, and DeltiasGaming.

In a further boost, Nazara raised Rs 855 crore (approximately USD 100 million) through a preferential issue last month.
