Payworld Supports Migrant Labourers Through Its Initiative PayworldHeroes
Payworld is providing the opportunity to all migrants who have lost their source of Income to become Payworld retailers and hence serve the country in these tough times. Through this strategic initiative, they are helping provide job opportunities to the citizens at the lowest strata but also focus on increasing existing retail base of over 2.5 Lac retailers. Payworld has developed seamless simple retailer onboarding process using the latest technology and the retailers are now being trained for using different services provided through video and online webinars and AI bases Chatbot.
Praveen Dhabhai, COO, Payworld said, “We understand the strain that the migrant workers are facing due to the pandemic and subsequent lockdown. Many have returned to their hometowns. They now have a chance to use their knowledge of mobile phones or digital money to help others in their villages. That is why we have started the initiative of co-opting them into our retailor bases to provide help and essential services such as AEPS, money transfers and other services like Recharges and Bill Payments during the lockdown.” said
In addition to roping in migrant workers, Payworld is also serving the nation by giving essential banking services during the lockdown. Payworld retailers are extending unconditional support to the people in desperate need. Through, the #PayworldHeroes initiative, the company has issued a certificate to extend these services which they can show to the local authorities. Depending upon the situation in their area, they are either providing these services through their shop or from their home.
