PMR - One Stop Solution for Mobility Needs

Aakanksha Bhargava is a second-generation entrepreneur and now the CEO of PM Relocations (PMR) who finds passion in the idea of “impacting lives of people around me and offering stress-free end to end relocation solutions to my customers.”

From a 3 crore company, when she started as an entrepreneur to a 50 crore company till date, the scale of the business has been exponential in the past 10 years. “P.M. Relocations is a small-medium enterprise, a one stop solution for mobility needs, with respect to anybody relocating within India or overseas. Our service portfolio includes complete household goods relocation and setting in services like home search, city orientation, cultural training, school search and tailor-made modules to assist our clients while they settle in a new home. Apart from this, we also look after corporate shifting and delicate fine-art work moving,” says Bhargava.

PMR looks after both corporate business (B2B) and also caters to online retail /individual enquiry (B2C) for relocation services globally. It is the first complete solution for end to end relocation on a systematic online platform using technology. “If someone needs to just pack, move few items or the entire house, car, bike, storage, everything can be done through the website. With is we would soon launch an app,” she adds.

The app will be able to place a relocation requirement with PMR, irrespective of the geography. Whether it is a single service requirement or a multiple service requirement, one can raise enquiry along with supporting pictures, video and exact dimensions of the goods on the application itself. Through the app the customer will be able to see the timeline for the ongoing movement, last movement details, specific information pertaining to the movement while interacting with the brand on social media.

A complete solution provider for anybody who wants to relocate to any part of the world handling all the requirements, the company does not subcontract or outsource work, but stand out as part of a large strategic initiative with a focus on customer service and operations. “Our uniqueness lies in our ability to customise our services for individuals with a strong network in all major cities,” she says.

Emerging Trends
The relocation industry in India is unconventional, unexplored and unknown hence the biggest challenge is to acquire and retain customers. She feels, “Not many people want to explore the option of professional moving solution not because of the cost involved but with lack of options available and information about professional players. To an extent that people have started looking beyond the idea of calling local truckers and labourers to shift their homes. Today, people reach out for professional moving solutions to relocate them from one place to another.”

Profit Percentage
“In terms of profit percentages, we have grown close to 25 times in the last 10 years. With the company doing exceptionally well with international business and global end to end relocation, we relocate people moving from Singapore to London or any other third countries except India,” adds Bhargava whose company has grown close to 100 moves in a day at any given point of time.

Marketing Strategies & Plans
With changing market trends the relocation industry is also starting to embrace the power of technology. Since, relocation in India is still not considered as an industry, thereby, still many companies are waiting to realise the power of technology. “We just recently started adopting innovative and upbeat technology in our business by working on a customer centric and responsive website. A complete end to end informative mobile application. Apart from this we are constantly innovating with our marketing and process strategies based on customer feedbacks and current industry trends.”
