Rabbitt AI Appoints Asem Rostom As Managing Director

With plans to broaden its presence in the Middle East and North Africa and European markets, Rabbitt AI aims to leverage Rostom's extensive experience

Generative artificial intelligence (AI) startup Rabbitt AI has appointed Asem Rostom as managing director. With plans to broaden its presence in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) and European markets, Rabbitt AI aims to leverage Rostom's extensive experience to tap into the growing demand for AI-driven education and workforce solutions in these regions.

Rostom, who previously served as managing director for Simplilearn in the Mena region, brings over 15 years of leadership experience. He has also held roles at Cambridge University Press, where he promoted English language resources for learners and professionals across the Mena region.

The appointment comes shortly after Rabbitt AI’s USD 2.1 million seed funding round in July, which was led by TechCurators and supported by angel investors from Nvidia, Meta, and Microsoft. The company said that its flagship product, Rabbitt Learning, a division focused on education access and workforce readiness in generative AI, is poised to take advantage of the growing demand for edtech solutions in Mena.

The edtech market in the region is expected to reach USD 4.16 billion by 2030, growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 13.89 per cent, driven by digital transformation, workforce upskilling needs, and strong government support for educational initiatives. To capitalise on this momentum, Rabbitt AI plans to open an office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where Rostom will operate. The company sees significant potential in Gulf countries, where demand for Gen AI skilling courses and digital transformation projects is on the rise.

Rabbitt AI said its platform helps businesses build and deploy custom AI applications, offering tools for large language model (LLM) development, and data-centric AI solutions. It supports everything from generative AI and machine learning operation integration to voice bot AI agents, enabling businesses to create tailor-made AI solutions to meet their specific needs.
