Sula Vineyards Donates Rs 20 Lakh PM-CARES, Maharashtra State Disaster Management Authority And Few Others

 Sula Vineyards contributes Rs 20 lakh in the fight against COVID-19 including  Rs 8 lakh each to PM-CARES and the Maharashtra MSDMA fund, and the remaining funds to Nasik hospitals. 

Also, Sula’s employees have voluntarily come forward to make donations in their capacities to different relief funds. Many have distributed masks and food essentials to those in need. The company has donated 200 PPE to the government hospital in Nashik. Sula’s CSR donation is the latest step in the company's efforts to help mitigate the consequences of the COVID-19 outbreak. Furthermore, the company has also taken steps to ensure the mental and physical well-being of its team members through their initiative called – “We Care”. Sula is also strictly following all employee welfare and safety guidelines issued by the government.

Rajeev Samant, CEO- Sula Vineyards, said “This is a difficult and challenging time for all of us and we all need to contribute however we can. As responsible corporate citizens, we remain committed to supporting our employees, workers, farmers, and the Govt. of India in whatever manner possible to emerge safe and strong from this unprecedented crisis. We also humbly call upon state governments to consider re-opening wine shops and allowing home delivery during this lockdown. Wine has been one of the few bright spots for Indian farmers this year but we will need quick policy support to emerge from this difficult situation. It should be noted that in many countries across the globe wine shops have been notified as essential alongside grocery and medical stores."
