Woof - A One Stop Destination Which Assists to Day to Day Needs of a Dog Lover/Owner
'Woof- My Best Buddy' is a one-stop destination application launched by Gaganjyot Juneja and Mandeep Singh to discover services and products which assist a dog lover to manage the day-to-day needs of their dogs in an efficient manner. Founded in May 2017, the app is available for Android and iOS users.
It is an aggregator which not only helps the dog owner to find the best vet, kennel, spas, dog food and apparel around their area, but also facilitates in booking appointments via the app.
Dehradun-based startup acts like a dating app for dogs as it enables the owner to match their dog with the fluffiest singles in their area. The concept of the startup is to bring like-minded people together and provide owners with the ability to showcase their dogs by developing their dogs profile (just how we do it for ourselves on any social networking sites) and exchange photos. The app also addresses the problem of the working professionals who leave their dogs at home without any help as it provides them with the information on the kennels around their area. Apart from this, 'Woof- My Best Buddy' has an online appearance which gives the e-shoppers the joy of selecting their favourite accessories/ product for dogs.
Woof is divided into three segments:
Love Nest: In this feature people can meet like-minded dog lovers/enthusiast. A user has two options, either to like or love a dog, once their dogs matches they can start chatting about any queries they have.
Dog Vets: One of the basic problem in today’s world is finding a good veterinary for your beloved ones. Woof solves your problem by bringing to the customers genuine/verified dog vets around their area. Not only this we also book appointment with the vets at the convenience of the user. Once the appointment has been booked it gets automatically updated in the users calendar and reminder is sent 2 hours before the appointment.
Spas/kennels/stores: The app also have a listing of the nearest spas/kennels/stores, with their numbers. The startup is also integrating maps services, which would guide the user to the place, he or she wants to visit.
When asked about their future plans, Gaganjyot Juneja, Founder and CEO, 'Woof- My Best Buddy' said, “We plan to launch our own IP product by next year mid. We are already in talks with a few companies and few products have been shortlisted. Details would be given out as soon as it gets finalized.
Also one of the basic problems of the dog owners is the expense they have to bear on the medication, vaccinations and operations. We plan to launch ‘PET INSURANCE’ in the coming months.”
The startup already have a database of around 50k dog lovers which was taken in pre signup activity. The company’s aims is to attain 50k active downloads by the end of this year.
Some of its competitors include PetSutra, PetsApp, PetsMate and Twin Dog. However, none of them provide a one stop solution to the dog owners/lovers. “We do not only have dating platform for dogs, but we also give them an option to look around for the best kennels, spas, doctors and even book them with a few simple clicks,” added Gaganjyot Juneja.
