Zomato Introduces 'District' App For Live Events And Dining

Currently, users can book tickets for movies and live events through the app, with plans to expand its features in the coming months

Zomato has unveiled its latest consumer-facing venture, *District*, marking a significant step in its efforts to diversify beyond food delivery and quick commerce. Officially launched on November 15, the app is now available on both iOS and Android platforms.  

As Zomato’s third major offering, following its flagship food delivery service and quick commerce platform Blinkit, ‘District’ aims to tap into the growing "going-out" segment. Currently, users can book tickets for movies and live events through the app, with plans to expand its features in the coming months.  

Earlier in August, reports surfaced hinting at Zomato’s ambitions to explore new revenue streams, and the launch of ‘District’ aligns with this strategic move. With this, the company seeks to position itself as a comprehensive lifestyle platform, bridging the gap between digital convenience and offline experiences.
