According to media reports, US-based money manager Baron Capital has increased the valuation of its stake in Swiggy to USD 15.1 billion, according to recent regulatory filings. This marks a 24 per cent rise from Baron's previous valuation of USD 12.2 billion as of March 31.
This latest valuation adjustment brings Swiggy closer in value to its main competitor, Zomato, which currently stands at USD 19 billion as per media reports. The adjustments reflect a broader trend of aligning private market valuations with public market benchmarks, as Swiggy prepares for its initial public offering (IPO) later this year.
