Senior living in India has not been a concept that has been focused on much in India.
Antara Senior Living aims to change that with a new residential community that looks to provide a new way of luxurious living for the seniors.
Tara Singh Vachani, MD & CEO, Antara Senior Living Spoke To BW’s Chahat Jain Antara Senior Living is Max India’s newest venture that is looking to build a seniors residential community in Dehradun. Spread across 14 acres, the community will comprise of over 200 apartments of various sizes ranging from 1400 sq. ft. to 6000 sq. ft. priced between INR 1.5 crore to six crore.
Ms Vachani explains that Antara is not an old age home, but instead a residential community catering only to seniors. Talking about the concept she said, since 2010 she was looking for ideas to create a good life for the seniors. “There is a demand for a senior living community as this concept does not exist yet. The idea of caring is close to my heart and Antara s the altruistic coming together of enterprise and the joy of doing something meaningful for the seniors of our country,” she said.
A luxurious community is not just a way for seniors above the age of 55 to have a place with like-minded people but will also provide life care, hospitality and sound financial guidance to the residents.
The apartments will be serviced by a trained staff of over 200 individuals. Antara’s management team and consultants are a mix of leaders from the fields of finance, strategy, sales, marketing, human resources, design, technology, hospitality, healthcare, operations and senior living under Ms Vachani’s leadership.

The community has already got 60 per cent of apartments committed in the community and is expected to be completed and operational this year itself.
