Societe Generale Launches Catalyst - A Startup Accelerator in Bengaluru

Societe Generale Global Solution Centre (SG GSC),a subsidiary of Societe Generale (SG), one of the largest European financial services groups, launched Catalyst - a startup accelerator program for Indian startups in the key focus areas of artificial intelligence, machine learning and big data.

In partnership with Nasscom, the second largest French bank has created a platform to promote collaboration and innovation for entrepreneurs. Catalyst has received a good response from entrepreneurs from Bengaluru, Chennai and Mumbai, as ET reported.

The eight startups selected-- Agora Analytics, Datum Informatics, FixNix Inc., GAVS Technologies, Lithasa Technologies (arya.ai), Stride.AI a Delaware, Tookitaki Technologies, Uniphore Software Systems will work with SG GSC for a period of ten weeks.

Axis Bank Launches ‘Thought Factory’ - An Innovation Lab To Accelerate FinTech Startups

Axis Bank, has launched ‘Thought Factory‘ an innovation lab facility to accelerate innovative technology solutions for the banking sector.

The innovation hub located in an area of 10,000 sq ft in Bangalore, has an in-house innovation team and a three-month accelerator program that will work closely with the startups that are redefining banking in the digital era.

Axis has partnered with Zone Startups to run the accelerator program. At the end of 3 month program, an Investor Day will be organised to facilitate funding for the short-listed startups.

Cisco Launches Startup Initiative LaunchPad To Develop Products Together

Cisco has announced its LaunchPad initiative through which it will work with selected startups to develop products together. The applications for the four-month-long program are now open for startups and will initially focus on manufacturing, retail, transportation, education and healthcare sectors. Cisco will not take equity in the startups selected for the program.

Cisco also announced a collaboration with Tech Mahindra Ltd and smaller startups that work in the digital metering space to develop digital solutions for the Indian electric utilities, as per LiveMint report.
