Amazon To Roll Out Quick Commerce Service 'Tez' In India By Early Next Year: Report

In a bid to expand its presence in the Indian market, Amazon is set to launch its quick commerce service, reportedly code-named 'Tez', as early as late December or early next year, as per a leading news wire Reuters.

According to sources mentioned in the reprot, the launch date for Amazon's quick commerce service could be finalised during its December review meeting. This move will mark Amazon's entry into the fast-growing quick commerce space in India, where competitors like Blinkit, Zepto, and Swiggy Instamart currently dominate.

The quick commerce sector, which deals with ultra-fast delivery of groceries and daily essentials, is projected to reach a market size of nearly USD 7 billion by 2024. The market is expected to grow to USD 25-USD 55 billion by 2030.

Amazon's entry into the quick commerce space is seen as a strategic move to tap into the growing demand for fast and convenient delivery services in India.
