Cloud, Data and Analytics gave the name of the brand Cloudtix. Driven by a demand for connectivity, data analytics and networked interconnection of everyday objects with embedded computers, the disappearance of sensors and computers has led to the inception of the Cloudtix. Cloudtix plans to spread across India and is currently seeking investors to fund their various initiatives that have already been tested and implemented in the field.

Sanjay Sharma, Founder, Cloudatix, speaks to BW Businessworld about company's expansion plans in India

We would like to know about your venture Cloudatix, which comprises of could computing, data and analytics. How did it come to start?

Well, I have spent 25 years in the industry, majorly my forte has been IT and Telecom, with Hewlett-Packard, Sun Microsystems, in various departments like R&D and management positions. Then, I received an opportunity and moved to India working for Reliance Communications. Having spent so many years for various kinds of companies, so it was the natural progression for me to start something of my own, which I have been contemplating for a very long time, and we came up with a company which is serving most of the disruptive needs in the telecom and communication space. Three crucial spaces are our basic offerings, one is interactive displays, for the government, we are doing ECG monitoring and we are also creating a platform for the mobile applications security testing platform. So these are the three pillars of our startup as of now.

Please share with us your evolving business model and the monetisation model that you are following?

With so much push to the digital economy; it is necessarily creating for us the new ways of doing business. So, we do rev shares or revenue sharing, for example - On railway platforms, we put in digital platforms for the government messages and displays, on which at the same time we advertise too, in order to generate revenue and then we share profits in percentage. We invest in the infrastructure, now in DTC buses also from now on. So, the trend is moving in the direction that CapEx payments, does no longer hold goods.
