Gurugram-based EdTech startup, Udayy has raised USD 2.5 million up in a seed round driven by Alpha Wave Incubation (AWI), overseen by Falcon Edge Capital, and InfoEdge Ventures. Better Capital, Kunal Shah, and different heavenly attendants also participated in the round.
Udayy, an edtech startup by Saumya Yadav, Mahak Garg, and Karan Varshney – alumni of IIT Delhi and Stanford University , will utilize the assets for its next phase of development, which will incorporate curriculum advancement, product suite expansion and recruiting.
The startup provides leaning opportunities for students in the age group of 6-11. Major subjects dealt with are Mathematics and English. Further, the platform works towards development of Mathematical reasoning, public speaking in kids via interactive sessions.
The startup asserted that its business model has tackled for high contribution margins and over 97 percent retention.
The edtech startup asserts confidence in their flipped classroom approach wherein the pupil drives his/her own learning and instructional method which is custom made according to the student’s individual abilities.
