Funding Status
We are in the process of raising more money and information is confidential. However, we can clearly state that we want to ramp up to 100 clinics plus in the next 3 years (in India, Middle east and Africa) and funds are being raised accordingly.
Monetization Model
We are a profitable company and our current levels of growth can easily be taken care of by internal accruals.
Challenges Faced
The biggest challenge has been the lack of expertise in cosmetic surgery in India. As this field is highly specialized, there are very few doctors who have the experience to run new clinics.
Market size and opportunity
The Hair care business by itself is more than 1000 crores annually. Of this about 20% would be the deemed potential for hair transplant. It needs to be noted that cosmetic surgery in India is growing at a pace of more than 30% Y-on-Y.
We want cosmetic surgery to move out of the sphere of ‘Film stars and celebrities’. The public at large is entitled to world class cosmetic surgery at the right price. Enhance clinics is working with that goal in mind.
About the CEO
Sanjeev Mahajan, Director and CEO, Enhance Aesthetic and Cosmetic surgery, is a seasoned professional with more than 18 years experience across multiple sectors. In the last decade or so, he has built a reputation as a start up specialist with the ability to build and nurture small organizations and help them reach scale and profitability.
An MBA by qualification, He started his career with the cooperative sector in India, before joining the Telecom sector in its nascent days. Part of the start up team of Hutch (Now Vodafone) he worked on setting up the pre-paid distribution channel in Delhi. Post a stint in the pharmaceutical sector, he worked with HCL as the Marketing Head for the Nokia Business division, wherein he worked with the leadership team in enabling annual revenues to reach more than US $ 1.5 Billion in less than 2 years.
