Haptik, a Personal Assistant Service, has announced a revamp to its existing Food & Movies categories with the view to significantly enhance user experience and drive successful transactions. The move comes on the back of tight partner integrations with the respective category leaders: Zomato (Food Delivery), BookMyShow (Movies) & Dineout (Restaurant Reservations). The conversational commerce and chatbot space has been an emerging market in 2016, and taking the service up a notch all these three updates on Haptik come with major improvements in its Machine Learning & AI capabilities.
The revamp was based on feedback received from more than a million users over the last 2.5 years the service has been live. The company has worked closely with each of the partners in creating highly customised experiences for conversational commerce, and the respective tasks can be completed end to end by chat bots, while at the same time maintaining the personality of a human assistant.
“The new Food & Movies experiences are a complete re-imagination of the traditional chat interface” said Aakrit Vaish, CEO & Cofounder, Haptik which now completes over a million tasks per month. “People love the idea of chat, but the back and forth exchange of messages means it's not always the fastest. So, we’ve worked closely with our partners to come up with new chat design elements that make each of these tasks the best way to get them done. This literally is conversational commerce at its best!”
Haptik has been a contemporary pacesetter in it's space, having first launched the service back in March 2014. It is the highest rated Lifestyle app in India, and one of the few Indian companies to get the Top Developer tag by Google. Currently over 40% of tasks are completed end to end by it’s chatbot with the remaining being completed by its army of chat agents.
