India Accelerator Unveils Cohort'25 For Tech-enabled Startups

As part of the cohort, IA plans to invest USD 8-10 million capital in participating startups exhibiting high potential through its partner entity Finvolve

India Accelerator (IA), India’s leading multi-stage, fund-led startup accelerator, has announced the launch of its highly anticipated 2025 Cohort. With a committed investment of USD 8-10 million, this flagship programme will accelerate 30-35 startups across transformative sectors, helping them turn groundbreaking ideas into scalable, market-ready businesses.

The cohort, set to commence in Q1 2025, is laser-focused on impactful use cases that address real-world challenges like autonomous drones for defence and civil applications, eCommerce ecosystems, sustainable mobility, and GenAI solutions.

“India Accelerator and Finvolve are committed to enabling startups to create meaningful, market-driven impact. Startup Cohort ’25 will go beyond funding by providing full ecosystem support, from tailored go-to-market strategies to access to industry experts through a specialized mentor board,” said Mona Singh, Co-Founder, India Accelerator.

The cohort will champion innovations that redefine industries and drive socio-economic transformation:

· Robotics and Unmanned Systems (RUMS): Startups building autonomous drones that seamlessly integrate into defence reconnaissance, agriculture monitoring, and logistics operations, enabling dual-use capabilities across civil and military sectors.

· Energy, Mobility & Connectivity (EMC): Solutions focusing on smart grids, renewable energy storage, and EV infrastructure, critical to achieving net-zero targets and modernizing India’s energy landscape.

· Generative AI (GenAI): Applications in dynamic content generation, predictive analytics, and supply chain automation that unlock new efficiencies across industries like retail and manufacturing.

·  Impact Labs: Ventures tackling water resource management, circular economy solutions, and healthcare accessibility, aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

·  Premiumisation & Consumerisation

“Our focus is on startups creating tangible impact—whether it’s autonomous drones safeguarding borders and boosting eCommerce efficiency, or generative AI driving productivity across industries. The cohort will offer not just resources, but a robust launchpad to achieve market readiness,” added Singh.

With over 225 startups accelerated, two-thirds raising follow-on funding, IA has a legacy of transforming early-stage startups into thriving businesses. Its data-driven evaluation and founder-first approach ensure only the most promising startups are selected to join its elite programme.
