BWDisrupt's Soumya Gupta interacted with Founders of Megamorph Marketing Pvt. Ltd. Niyati Purohit, CEO and Ashwin Suresh, Managing Director to know more about their journey with the company, since its inception in 2008.

They started off as marketing consultant to many business. In span of this consulting a unique market opportunity arose to take paradigm shift in our business. Since January 2014 we took over a business of manufacturing & marketing cleaning solutions to industrial customers. When we started the business was primarily into jobworks & OEM business. Our vision is to build an international brand in this space. Within the span of two years we have launched CareClean, one of India’s leading brands in Institutional & industrial cleaning. Gaining this experience, we have also launched our retail range of products for homes. Today we are present in over 30 cities & towns doing business with the most reputed hotels, hospitals & facility managers.

How did it started?
When we came across this industry we realised quality product, training and services which are enjoyed by the top players of Industrial and Institutional sector never comes down to the budget and stand alone players. Since we strongly believe that everybody deserves a clean and hygienic place to live and work, we wanted to create the same quality of products with same level of training and services in affordable budgets without harming our mother earth, so that nobody ever needs to use crude products for cleaning, we launched our range of cleaning solutions in the brand name of CareClean.

Tell us about your unique key feature/services?
India’s 1st and only certified Green Company by GC-Mark Germany in scope of manufacturing of cleaning solutions. Our solutions are also enriched with a unique Active Nano Plus formula which incorporates Nano Silver particles foe highly effective removal of germs.

How is it different from existing ones?

Being transparent and ethical in all business process played majorly in bringing new customers and channel partners on board. Since this industry has both highly organized & unorganized players it is important to ensure the customer values our integrity & consistency.

What is your current funding status?

Self Funded

What is your existing business model and monetization model like?
Not very applicable in our industry. We are capturing the market with our product and service quality. We do not plan to exploit or renegotiate once we establish ourselves as a premium partner.

What are your current Traction details?
When we started it took a long time to get employees & setup our first team. With them in place, closing our first account took us close to four months of continuous follow ups, improvements & innovations. Slowly and steadily we built our way across Karnataka, mainly through reference & recommendations. After establishing ourselves as one of the strong players in Karnataka, our expansion to Andhra Pradesh, Telengana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Goa & Maharashtra has been more accepted & easy.

Today we are one of the leading cleaning chemical solution provider across South & West India. Just last year we had 100% growth in revenue & are set to break that benchmark this year.

Any future plans that you currently have in mind?
Our focus in the financial year 2017-18 will be to open new markets in East & Central India. We are also exploring few options of exports to other Asian countries. We are also in initial phases of setting up a new manufacturing facility in Central India to fulfil surrounding requirements.

Share with us some of the challenges you have faced in this space?
The biggest challenge was to get the first few employees. It was a new business where we had no customers and selling cleaning solutions was not a very glamorous or a cool job. The other challenge was breaking through a habitual purchase process of most customers. Due to limited options most customers were very habitual to the purchase of a certain chemical and it took a lot of efforts to change their minds.

What is the market size & opportunity you are looking at as a big potential?
The cleaning industry is growing at a very rapid pace. Especially in India after the Swachh Bharat initiative by the government this industry is evolving into an organized market with many new entrants. With the development of new high-tech facilities like malls, airports, railway stations & other institutions the need for cleaning solutions is phenomenal. Even our homes need special care and attention due to increased pollution & health hazards. The opportunity to provide highly effective solutions at affordable prices is critical.
