Nazara Technologies has announced a strategic partnership with the Government of Telangana to establish an AI Centre of Excellence (AI CoE) dedicated to advancing gaming and digital entertainment, according to media reports.
The collaboration aims to drive innovation in gaming, interactive media, gamified learning, and other digital content through cutting-edge technologies such as AI, virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR), blockchain, and Web 3.0.
The AI CoE will leverage Telangana's supportive environment for tech advancements, bolstering the state's position as a global leader in AI-driven innovation. According to the release, the partnership reflects Telangana’s proactive approach in fostering industry growth through public-private collaborations and policy development.
Nitish Mittersain, Joint MD and CEO of Nazara Technologies, emphasised that the new centre will further Nazara's mission to integrate AI and emerging technologies across its portfolio, thereby enhancing its capabilities in the gaming and digital entertainment sectors. Telangana IT Minister D Sridhar Babu highlighted that the AI CoE will empower startups, boost skill development, and attract significant investments in technology, thereby driving economic growth and setting new standards in responsible AI applications.
The collaboration underscores both Nazara's strengths in the AI and gaming domains and Telangana's commitment to creating a vibrant, innovative tech ecosystem.
