OptIQ Raises $1.5 Mn From Better Capital, Carya Venture Partners

OptIQ raises $1.5mn from Better Capital, Carya Venture Partners and a group of investors. OptIQ’s AI-driven platform enables Developers to manage cloud infrastructure, deployment, monitoring, logging, and cloud security compliance in a single platform without having core DevOps expertise.

The fresh capital will enable OptIQ to expand its workforce, work towards product maturity, and establish its go-to-market (GTM). The round also saw participation from renowned angel investors like Akash Singh (Co-Founder & CTO, Observe.AI), Akhil Bhiwal (Co-Founder & CEO, Phyllo), Anil Advani (Founder, Inventus Law), Arvind Kumar Gupta (Product Engineer, Phyllo), Raj Krishna Murthy (CEO, KN Groups), Sarath Sura (Partner, Sunn91 Ventures), Swapnil Jain (Co-Founder & CEO, Observe.AI) and Vaibhav Raj Gupta (Founder, Airblack).

Keshav Murthy, CEO at OptIQ, comes from AIT, Chikmagalur, and has nine years of experience in DevOps while working in multinational companies like VMware and Intuit; he was also the founding DevOps Engineer of Observe.AI. While his co-founder, CTO Harsh Sahu, comes from IIT Roorkee and has worked in Rivigo and Observe.AI; Both come from diverse backgrounds working in Startups and Scaleups, so they have seen this problem firsthand.

Speaking on the announcement, Keshav Murthy, CEO at OptIQ, said, “Big organizations like Google, Apple, Netflix, and Uber can afford to put so much effort and resources into automation to play the roles of deploying, scaling, monitoring, and security compliance. They no longer have a DevOps team; instead, they have a self-diagnostics and self-healing system that does this automatically, which developers manage. Now the question is how other companies can achieve this automation. Hence OptIq offers the same quality solution to Developers in Software Companies”.

While explaining what problem the company addresses, Harsh Sahu, CTO of OptIQ, said, “Managing cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, security, and compliance are a big problem for every Software Company. Building a quality DevOps team is a big challenge. Even if companies can build quality DevOps Teams, managing friction between DevOps Teams and Developers are major reasons affecting deployment speed, application downtime, and managing different cloud compliances. Hence, OptIQ is building an intelligent DevSecOps Platform that developers can use and operate without needing core DevOps expertise.”
