Nazara Technologies has completed the 100 per cent acquisition of UK-based mobile gaming studio Fusebox Games in a cash deal worth Rs 230 crore. This acquisition is the second outside of India and marks Nazara's largest deal to date.
“We see a large opportunity in building an IP-based global gaming business that benefits from our core base in India. Here, we can support global studios through enhanced user acquisition strategies, data analytics, and live operations,” said Nitish Mittersain, Founder and CEO of Nazara Technologies.
The acquisition of Fusebox, known for its interactive story games, including the popular 'Love Island' game, aligns with Nazara’s strategy of leveraging its in-house AI playbook and expanding its global footprint.
Mittersain writes in his LinkedIn post, “Many of our existing IPs are good examples of this strategy, and we are happy to join forces with the talented team at Fusebox as we continue to build Nazara into a global gaming company of meaningful scale.”
Nazara has been on an acquisition spree, with its subsidiary Absolute Sports recently acquiring the assets of DeltiasGaming.com.
