Peak XV today releases fourteen companies as a new group of startups to form the tenth cohort of Surge, Peak XV’s seed-stage platform for founders.
Comprising startups building from India, Singapore, Philippines, China, UAE, Australia, UK and the US, the new cohort brings together a mix of innovative startups with continued focus on AI, developer tools, consumer brands, next-generation fintech, healthcare and more.
Surge 10 companies include Amaani, Ambak, Auquan, Brainfish, Clout Kitchen, Dezy, Dubbing Ai, OrbitShift, Parseable, SalarySe, Tailcall, The Health Factory, Wobot and a stealth company in the specialty healthcare space. Amaani is the first company from the Middle East to be in Surge.
In addition to getting up to US$3 million in seed funding per startup from Surge, founders receive full-stack support and dedicated partnership from the Surge investment team and the operating team, including hiring, product, tech and marketing.
Founders also get hands-on mentoring, critical zero-to-one company-building support, and access to Peak XV and Surge’s large community of mission-driven founders and builders. The program offers a wealth of resources and tools, including perks worth over US$2M, including cloud storage, marketing tools, software, services and more.
“Announcing our tenth cohort of Surge is a very special milestone for us. We’re privileged to have played a part in the company-building journeys of over 350 founders since the inception of Surge in 2019.Surge has played a key role in growing and nurturing India and Southeast Asia’s seed ecosystem and we’re now seeing incredible success from companies in the earlier cohorts that are on the path to building truly enduring companies.” said Rajan Anandan, Managing Director, Peak XV and Surge
Each company will receive 1-1 mentorship from leading global founders and operators, making Surge a launchpad for startups looking to dominate their home markets, and in many cases, build global businesses.
The Surge 10 program will run from October 2024 to February 2025, featuring a mix of in-person and online sessions and events focused on founder development, go-to-market strategies, product, sales refinement, brand building and more. The program culminates with a US immersion experience, providing founders with exposure to the Silicon Valley ecosystem, where they will visit the Open AI and Notion campuses in February 2025.
Surge 09 had visited the NVIDIA campus earlier this year and met Jensen Huang.
Founders participate in 3 days of in-person kick-off events, 14 weeks of online sessions, and 4 days of in-person US immersion.
