ShopDeck Secures $8 Mn In Series B Funding To Support D2C Brands' Growth

The Bengaluru-based startup plans to enhance its product offerings, expand its team, and help D2C brands with custom storefronts, catalogue management, and marketing strategies.

ShopDeck, a Bengaluru-based software solutions provider for direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands, has raised USD 8 million (approximately Rs 67 crore) in its series B funding round. The round was led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with additional participation from Elevation Capital, Chiratae Ventures, and General Catalyst.

Founded in 2022 by Verma and Harmin Shah, the co-founders of WMall (after its shutdown), ShopDeck offers a range of services to D2C brands, including website development and customization, catalogue management, and marketing and pricing strategy support. The startup primarily works with brands in the long tail categories such as fashion, apparel, jewellery, home & kitchen, and merchandise.

With the new capital, ShopDeck plans to accelerate hiring and further enhance its product offerings. The company’s focus is on helping merchants—90 per cent of whom are selling their products for the first time—create effective online storefronts and improve their overall e-commerce strategy.

ShopDeck has already partnered with several brands, including JerseyKart, Rizik, ichaa, AS Platinum, and Fargo. The startup competes with major players like Shopify, Magento, and WooCommerce in the e-commerce enablement space, and with companies like Shiprocket and Shipway in the shipping and marketing segments.

For FY 2022-23, ShopDeck’s parent company, Blitzscale Technologies, reported Rs 19.5 crore in revenue, marking a 41.32 per cent year-on-year growth, although it posted a net loss of Rs 9.2 crore.
